Last year my “Christmas By Moonlight” Gift sets were quite popular and so this year I wanted to expand the Christmas line by coming up with a new gift set called “Christmas By Dawn’s Light” (which is really a very peaceful but magical part of every Christmas). The kids are anxiously waiting for the Christmas day to start and every one is still in bed waking up.

When I was a child growing up, every Christmas at dawn’s light, I would get out of bed to walk slowly down the hallway from my bedroom to the bathroom tip toeing so I wouldn’t wake anyone up…..I would stand on my tippy toes to see over the rocking chair that blocked the view to the fireplace…I would take about two or three more steps away from the bathroom to see where my stocking was as Santa always filled my stocking up every Christmas Eve! I never peeked because I knew I’d be in trouble, but I would be soooo excited because I knew lots of tiny gifts were waiting for me in that stocking!!

I love stockings! It was and still is a favorite tradition. I would go the restroom and then back to my bedroom and go back to my bed looking at that clock…..tick tock, tick tock……it couldn’t go fast enough as I had to wait for everyone to be up before we could look in our stockings!

So, to celebrate my favorite time of Christmas day, I wanted to paint a set that reminded me of a distant far away memory of just how special it was to me….
