Welcome to my creative corner!

My name is Ann Lihl and I love to be creative in many ways! This website is all about sharing arts and crafts, beauty recipes, inspirational stories and everything in between!

For the past few years I have mostly painted ornaments, candle holders, trinket (jewelry) boxes, vases and a host of other items. I’ve painted on glass, wood, paper, and other materials.

I also love to scrap book and create greeting cards. I’d like to learn how to quill and teabag one day, so those are next on my Crafty things to accomplish list! First things first though. I’d like to start and finish some home decor projects that I’ve been dying to do for a few years now (these all involve painting of some kind)…so for 2012 I will be doing those projects and sharing them with you on this website. You are more than welcomed to “steal” these ideas and do with them as you wish.

I started painting and being creative when I was very young, making and painting Christmas ornaments, doodling, cross stitching, and making things out of materials that would of otherwise been thrown away. I did all kinds of fun stuff throughout the years. In the 1990′s, I learned how to china paint with my mom and another friend. My passion for many years was painting Christmas ornaments every year at Christmas time. I gave most of my treasures away as gifts, but I’d always keep a few for myself. I still paint ornaments for Christmas but now my tree is full and every person I know has one of my creations. I’m not sure if I’ll keep up on painting ornaments every year, but I will see how I feel towards September of 2012.

Occasionally, I will list something for sale in my ETSY shop, and on this website (under the SHOP and News Categories on your right of this site).

Right now I am just selling ornaments, candle holders, trinket (jewelry) boxes that were hand painted in 2010 and 2011. Also, I have some handmade earrings for sale made from glass and copper and then hand painted. All sales go back into my hobby budget, classes, raffle drawings, giveaways and other charity causes. Many of my crafts end up in family and friends’ homes and even sent as free gifts to past business customers too.
